UNAPEC, responding to the demands of society, began as an institution of a higher technical level that trained the professionals required at the beginning; With its vision for the future, it creates innovative careers that contribute to national development and facilitate international ties. At the grade level, APEC University has 22, 261 alumni’s of bachelor and engineering, and 3,049 associate degrees. Currently, it has the academic-administrative structure with five (5) dean departments at the grade level, with a total of twenty-nine (19) bachelor's and engineering degrees and an associated degree program, with the opportunity to double degree in business programs, with  Empire State College of New York, USA.,  in 4 different Concentration: Management, Human Resources, Finance and Economics. 

UNAPEC has its own autonomy granted by the Ministry of Higher Education Science and Technology (MESCyT). It has achieved the national institutional accreditation of the Dominican Association for Self-Study and Accreditation (ADAAC), and the international accreditation of the Electronic Engineering program by the accreditor GCREAS in August 2011, making it the first university in the Dominican Republic to have a Internationally accredited engineering program.

On November 19, 2013 he received the ACCREDITATION of 8 business programs which were subjected to the rigor of the international standards of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), in four (4) degree career and four (4)  masters programs with the observation of being the best of the class in three (3) of the six (6) standards evaluated by this firm. In November 2015, the desired goal was reached again, achieving the accreditation of one (1) degree career and two (2) masters programs. APEC University, UNAPEC, is the 1st DOMINICAN UNIVERSITY, with business programs ACCREDITED by ACBSP, with a wide variety of options for both undergraduate and postgraduate.
