Gubkin University is the leading institution in the system of higher oil and gas education in Russia and worldwide.
The University offers training in 32 Bachelor’s, 10 Specialist’s, 77 Master’s and 43 Doctoral degree programs, as well as professional development programs in a wide range of industry areas. It actively applies innovative teaching and learning methods, the interdisciplinary approach to education, and develops its infrastructure to provide professional training using virtual reality technologies. Academic and research work at the University is carried by highly qualified faculty members and invited oil and gas industry professionals.
Over 12,000 undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students, including 1,900 international students from 70 countries, are enrolled at the University today.
Gubkin University includes 12 faculties operating in Moscow, Russia, and 2 branches – in Orenburg, Russia and Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The University was founded in 1930 and named after the outstanding Russian scientist and academician Ivan Gubkin.
On the global level, the University cooperates intensively with leading academic and research institutions and companies, particularly from Austria, France, Norway, China, USA, UK, Germany, Bulgaria, and Poland.
