Kangnam University pursues truth,freedom,quality,peace, and a welfare society for human beings under the ideology of Christianity, and aims at cultivating human beings able to revere Heaven and to give Love' to all human beings We should aware of the spirit of Christianity, and practice it, and should realize the noble nature and the virtue in our lives We should make impr ovements in the value of science and life with the spirit of freedom, and should practice 'The spirit of Love' for human beings with sacrifical service.We should give undiscriminative chances for all people to study and create a spirit of unity to build up a happy society.We should bring up future-oriented elites who recognize the dignity of human being in order to lead and to contribute to the peace and welfare all over the world.The Kangnam University Department of Social Work has been the leader in social welfare studies in Korea since it was first established for the very first time in Korea.During the 56 year history, Kangnam University has educated and trained forty-four thousand graduates who have gone on to work in various areas related to social welfare, from family welfare, disabled welfare, child welfare, medical welfare, elderly welfare, industrial social welfare, among others.In recognition of Kangnam University’s exceptional and accumulated expertise in the area of social welfare, the university has been commissioned to operate three social welfare centers through the Kangnam General Social Welfare Center.
