We’re all probably aware of the stereotypes regarding different types of students – whether it’s the idea that arts students are all hippies at heart, or that computer science students are inclined to spend too much time gaming in dark rooms…

Are student stereotypes becoming any more nuanced, or could you predict how each type of student would be described? Are student stereotypes on the way out, or still very much part of student life?

Ahead of the upcoming launch of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2015, we took a trip into central London to give different types of students a chance to summarize their peers from other subjects, including engineering and technology, business studies, medicine and the arts.

Watch the video above to find out what they said, and let us know if you agree!

Can you relate to these student stereotypes? Do any of these types of students match your friends, or yourself? Do you have an opinion on the effects of student stereotypes? And, perhaps most importantly, what animal would you be?

Join in our discussion about student stereotypes over on Facebook, Google+, Tumblr, Twitter or YouTube.
