While Harvard University continues to dominate the subject rankings for Social Policy & Administration, arguably the most exciting developments are happening further down the rankings. Three universities (Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the Australian National University (ANU) and the University of Tokyo) have broken into the top 10 since last year.

However, the award for most improved (if there was one) has to go to Johns Hopkins University, which has climbed nearly 30 places to 16th. It is now the eighth best university in the US for Social Policy & Administration.
