Statistically, Harvard University is the best university in the world for Statistics & Operational Research this year. The American institution has climbed two places to overtake Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Stanford University.

13 of the top 20 universities in this year’s list are American, with the UK, Singapore, Switzerland, Canada, Japan and Hong Kong also represented. In total, 31 countries are represented in this year’s ranking of the top 200 universities.
