The Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) was founded in 1964. Located in Minsk, the university has an academic staff of 725 and 17,000 students, of which 15,000 are undergraduates and 2,000 postgraduates, including 500 from overseas.BSUIR, a public Higher Education Institution, offers over 100 degree and non-degree courses, specialising in computer science, radioelectronics and telecommunications.BSUIR has the following faculties:
  • Faculty of Computer Systems and Networks
  • Faculty of Computer-Aided Design
  • Faculty of Continuous and Distance Training
  • Faculty of Engineering and Economics
  • Faculty of Extramural Training
  • Faculty of Information Technologies and Control

The university is amply served by connections both with businesses based in Belarus and with multinationals such as SAP, Microsoft and Cisco, as well as many research labs. It also has formal links with universities throughout the world, including China, Poland and the UK.BSUIR offers a varied student life with excellent sporting facilities, a famous brass band and halls of residence in central Minsk.Notable alumni include:  Viktor Prokopenya, Founder, VP Capital; and Mikita Mikado, CEO and Co-Founder of Quote Rollera.
