Entrance Scholarships for Undergraduate Studies

High-calibre students with outstanding academic and/or non-academic achievements are identified for entrance scholarships after admission. Students don’t have to submit an application separately. Entrance scholarships are available for both local and non-local students.

CityU’s world-class labs and state-of-the-art teaching facilities enable researchers to maintain a positive trajectory in their work. To foster interdisciplinary research, CityU has established two research institutes, 20 research centres, and eight applied strategic development centres, covering different areas of strategic importance.

With the approval of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, CityU established two State Key Laboratories and one Chinese National Engineering Research Centre. Read more here.

Over the past few years, CityU has expanded rapidly to reflect the University’s development and energy, adding 60% more space for learning and research.

The Jockey Club One Health Tower, a 12-storey tower with a floor area of approximately 23,500 square metres, is under development. It will provide extra space for learning and research, an elegant 1,650 seat-auditorium for international conferences and cultural performances, and an enhanced sports hall.


International Campus

With over 5,000 non-local students enrolled, the campus is vibrant and multicultural. CityU’s  programmes help new students to integrate and make friends, ensuring that wherever they come from, CityU feels like home. Click here to learn more about the Cross-cultural Integration activities.

The University welcomes applications from local and non-local/international students, regardless of whether they are presently studying in Hong Kong or overseas.

Postgraduate Admissions

Postgraduate study offers you the chance to pursue your research interests, prepare for a particular profession, and equip yourself with the knowledge and skills needed to enhance your career.


Visiting Studies

Applicants who do not wish to pursue a full programme of study at the University but are interested in taking courses on a short-term basis may apply for admission as visiting students.
