Copenhagen Business School (CBS) is situated in Copenhagen, Denmark and is thought of as one of the biggest business schools within Europe with over 20,000 students and 15,000 employees. 

The business school also offers three MBA programs: a Full-time MBA, an Executive MBA, and an Executive MBA in Shipping and Logistics, also known as the Blue MBA.  

CBS is a triple accredited Business School (EQUIS, AMBA, AACSB), which sets it apart from all other universities in Denmark and places it in the top one percent of business schools worldwide. 

Furthermore, CBS performs well in a variety of rankings such as the Financial Times, QS Business Master Rankings or The Economist.  

The FTMBA and EMBA programmes have a number of accreditations, including PIM, CEMS, AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA. The programmes rank highly in global rankings including the FT 2020 and 2021, The Economist Which MBA Ranking 2020, as well as the 2020 QS MBA Rankings. 

CBS offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs taught in Danish, English, or a combination of both. The MBA programmes are taught entirely in English.

The CBS MBA Alumni Society is the longest-running and most extensive international MBA alumni network in Scandinavia, with more than 1.900 members of over 80 nationalities

Admissions criteria varies at CBS and depends on the program. While Bachelor and Master degrees in Denmark are usually free of charge for Danish and international students from the EU, students from non-EU states need to pay tuition fees. CBS MBA programmes however always require tuition fees.

The Copenhagen MBA commences in early October and ends the following September.The Executive MBA commences in May or September each year. Depending on which study start you choose, it will take 21 or 25 months and will end in June two years after start.The Executive MBA in shipping and logistics (the Blue MBA) commences in September each year ends in August two years after start. 

What is the application deadline?

The sooner we receive your documents, the sooner we can process your application. We strive to provide feedback and assessment on applications on an ongoing basis for all MBA's.Please note that we have three application deadlines for the Copenhagen Full-Time MBA for the October 2023 intake: 10 January 2023,10 April 2023, 10 June 2023 (non-EU candidates) and 10 July 2023 (EU candidates).If you want to apply for the Executive MBA with start in May 2023 there are also three application deadlines: 12 December 2022, 13 February 2023, 23 march 2023.There is no official application deadline for the Executive MBA in shipping and Logistics, applicants are admitted on an ongoing basis.

These are the essential requirements for the Copenhagen MBA: Bachelor degree or an equivalent professional qualificationAt least three years of full-time post-bachelor degree work experienceA GMAT score of at least 600 (the class average is 655) or a GRE score of 300 (Class average is 320)These are the essential requirements for the Executive MBA:A university or business school degree* (An undergraduate degree or a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration - HD)A minimum of three years' managerial experience in projects, budgets, processes, or people over a continuous period. GMAT, GMAC Executive Assessment, GRE or strong performance in the CBS MBA Admissions TestThese are the essential requirements for the Executive MBA in shipping and logistics:Bachelor's degree from a recognised academic institutionGraduate management admission test or similar documented qualificationMinimum of five years relevant work experienceTwo personal recommendations

How do I apply for a scholarship?

We offer scholarships for exceptional candidates joining the full-time MBA. These are merit-based regardless of your nationality, although we do also offer some merit- and country-specific scholarships.Please note that admission decisions will be made prior to decision on the scholarships. Admission decisions are not influenced by your application for scholarships.
