With five English-taught undergraduate programs offered, Erasmus School of Economics strives to become the best in its disciplines (economics, econometrics) and seeks to achieve excellence both in its research and teaching. This can be measured by its performance in rankings. Erasmus School of Economics is the natural choice for everyone to study economics in a broad sense, for academics to make progress in relevant and challenging research, for alumni to meet and greet, and for government and firms to seek reliable advice.

The School enjoys great acclaim in the Netherlands and abroad for its fundamental and applied scientific research. Its two graduate schools, Erasmus Research School of Management (ERIM) and the Tinbergen Institute (TI) are among the very best research institutes and graduate schools in the world.

Erasmus School of Economics strategically has a clear focus on economics. All faculty members are involved in both research and teaching. This allows the Erasmus School of Economics to thrive. Just as they were 100 years ago, the economists are the pounding heart of Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Based in Rotterdam, Europe’s economic and logistics centre, Erasmus School of Economics has provided excellent education and produced excellent research for over a century. Graduates of Erasmus School of Economics are ideally equipped for success in the business community, government positions and research anywhere in the world.
