The university’s strategic goal is the implementation of principles and ideas of Bologna Declaration, reaching international educational standards, guaranteeing the competitiveness of the graduates, and the recognition of the higher education diplomas abroad. Nowadays the educational process in KrNU is provided by: the Electromechanics, Energy-Saving and Computer Technologies Institute, 8 faculties, 28 departments and a college. Training in 38 specialities is carried out according to a multi-stage system: junior specialist, bachelor’s degree, specialist’s degree, master’s degree in the fields of: management, ecology, geodesy, cartography and land-utilization, applied mathematics, transport technologies, engineering mechanics, metallurgy, welding technologies, electro-technology, electronic devices, computer systems, automation and control, computer-based engineering, electro-mechanics, economics and business undertakings, law, culture. About 10 000 full-time and by-correspondence students graduate from the university annually. The Center of 2nd education and distant education works successfully. There is also a post-graduate study, as well as the possibility to work for a doctor’s degree, two specialized academic councils on scientific degrees conferment. For the last three years 25 post-graduates have successfully got the candidate’s degrees, three people – the doctor’s ones which is higher than the average index among all Ukrainian technical schools.
