LUT University is a pioneering science university in Finland, bringing together the fields of science and business since 1969. Our international community is composed of approximately 6,000 students and experts engaged in scientific research and academic education. LUT warmly welcomes students worldwide to apply to our international Master's programmes in Technology and Business Administration and Bachelor’s programme in Technology. Every year, approximately 300 new degree students begin their studies in our Programmes in English. In addition to Master's studies, we offer a wide variety of courses taught in English for exchange students. Exchange students can apply to our International Business and Technology Management programme (IBTM) or select courses from seven different fields of technology.

At LUT University you can complete the Bachelor's Programme in Technology and Engineering Science that enables you to become an expert in multidisciplinary fields of engineering. This programme is provided in English and it covers essential and applicable engineering disciplines, integrating studies of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, energy technology and environmental technology. LUT also offers Bachelor's studies in Finnish in the field of business administration and eight fields in technology. The average duration of the Bachelor's programmes is three years, amounting to 180 ECTS credits and leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in the field in question. Students selected to the Bachelor's programmes have an automatic right to continue their studies at the Master's level and thus complete a Master of Science degree in their field at LUT.

At LUT University, you can obtain the degree of either in Master of Science in Technology, M. Sc. (Tech.), or Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration, M. Sc. (Econ. & Bus. Adm.). LUT School of Business and Management (LBM), offers studies that focus on sustainable value creation: how businesses succeed in international competition in an economically, ecologically and socially sustainable way. In the field of technology LUT offers Master’s programmes in Energy Technology, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Technology, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management and Computational Science and Physics.

LUT conducts research with the aim of producing new knowledge of outstanding international standards and training professionals to meet the needs of society and business. The expertise of LUT's research is based on in-depth mastery of theory and practically oriented experimental work in cutting-edge laboratories. LUT University offers doctoral progammes in Business and Management, Energy Systems and Engineering Science.
