Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) is one of the leading technical universities in the area of high-tech systems. Founded in 1930, it preserves long-lasting traditions while setting new trends in education, science and innovation. MAI creates the latest developments in aircraft, spacecraft and propulsion engineering, launches small spacecrafts, carries out cutting-edge research in additive technology, control systems, IT-solutions, and other current areas of technological development. Joint projects between MAI and its partners open up career opportunities for its graduates. The total volume of the University’s contracts for scientific research amounts to 32 million dollars annually. All students are involved in the R&D work carried out in the leading laboratories and research centers of the University.

The University campus, conveniently located in the central part of Moscow near three metro stations, is a unique city infrastructure, the territory of which combines learning classrooms and buildings, research centers, numerous laboratories and resource centers, design bureaus and an experimental pilot plant. The infrastructure of MAI provides comfortable placement of students and has all necessary conditions for their leisure activities, communication and studies. Students can lead an active life and demonstrate their competitive nature in sports tournaments thanks to the University’s sports facilities and over 50 sports clubs.

The Student Cultural Center of MAI provides opportunities for participation in various events for international students, and introduces them to the cultural values, traditions and customs of students’ home countries. All international students can benefit from semester abroad academic exchange programs in one of the partner universities.
