RUDN University successfully combines studies, research, creative self-realisation and career opportunities for students from 152 countries of the world. RUDN offers 220 Master's programmes, with 25 English-taught courses; 148 PhD programmes in natural sciences, engineering and technological sciences, life science, medicine, humanities and social sciences. 

RUDN  has developed one of the country’s largest third tier education systems where  over 3 thousand  students take PhD, postdoc, medical residency and internship courses; 33 dissertation boards handle more than 70 scientific specialties. RUDN is proud of its  scientific schools that are recognised both in Russia and abroad. Priority research areas include chemistry, mathematics, and medicine. Intensively developing areas incorporate IT and nanotechnologies, biomedicine and pharmacy, ecology and environmental management, organization and management of space activities.

Given the RUDN specificity, the focus  is put on such University traditional areas as Russian as a foreign language,  methods of teaching Russian culture in a multicultural environment, and foreign languages. To enhance the international scientific relations the University enjoys   the potential of already existing and new educational programmes drawn up in cooperation with foreign partner institutions, the above courses are enriched by joint research programmes. In addition to the above RUDN’s cooperation with industrial enterprises and business entities is one more trend of the university activities.

RUDN engages major corporate partners, Russian, foreign and international employers to train students  and employ graduates; to design educational programmes, and to run practice-oriented courses at  RUDN partners’ premises, as well.

One of the University’s  primary objectives is to involve graduates and PhD students in research. Over 250 agreements reached with universities and research centers worldwide make it possible for the students  to engage in exchange programmes and study on double diploma programmes.  RUDN enjoys an atmosphere of optimism and cooperation, where the renowned scholars and students from many countries can work together on their research projects, sharing knowledge, expertise and ideas.

Currently international students from 158 countries of the world study at RUDN University. The University has created favorable atmosphere to attract international applicants and students: easy enrollment procedures and training for foreign citizens, full support of international students (accommodation, professional adjustment assistance, leisure activities, etc.). RUDN University is engaged in attracting talented and professionally oriented young people to enroll.

There are three opportunities to study in our University:
  • Any foreign citizen has the possibility to apply for the scholarship programme of the Government of the Russian Federation, which provides for free training for 15,000 foreign citizens from all over the world at the Russian Universities. More detailed information on how to get a state scholarship and how to apply for it on the official site of the programme.
  • The students also can join RUDN University on the contract basis. They should:
    1.Choose the study level and educational program.
    2.Apply for training. The application can be submitted in person, by e-mail or online. The application includes a questionnaire, a copy of passport and a copy of education document.
    3.Obtain an official admission letter from RUDN University.
    4.Pay an offer contract.
    5.Prepare a complete package of documents and obtain a visa. After RUDN University receives the payment on the offer-contract it launches the invitation process for a student visa.
    6. Come to RUDN University and pass entrance tests.

  • Students can also get a chance for free training if they take part in the RUDN University Open Olympiad for foreign citizens. The Open Olympiad of the RUDN University for foreign citizens is a competition aimed at identifying and attracting talented applicants and undergraduates to study at the University in their chosen areas of training. The Olympiad is currently held in two stages:
    1.Online competition (on the website olymp.rudn.ru)
    2.In person competition.                                                                                                                                                                                                    

Department for Internships and Employment of RUDN University consults students on career development issues (writing a CV, interviewing, finding job vacancies, developing soft skills). The University’s direct cooperation with employers provides the up-to-date job base and understanding of labor market special needs in different regions. Today RUDN University proposes job vacancies of companies from more than 50 countries.

It is possible for students to communicate directly with employers regardless of their degree and level of education. Such events as Career days, Vacancy fair, master-classes, seminars, lectures, workshops are held in the University by over 250 leading companies.

More than 200,000 RUDN graduates work in almost all countries around the world in such companies as Nestle, Adidas, Renault, Samsung, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Bayer, Ernst&Young, KPMG, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Rostec, Roscosmos, Richemont, Miratorg, Brunel, Aeroflot, DHH, Gazprom.
