At SCAD Film Studios in Atlanta and Savannah — the largest and most comprehensive university-owned film studio complex in the U.S. — students master every facet of production and post-production across animation, sound design, VFX, and film. In makerspaces, foundries, textile labs, and award-winning design studios across the university’s energizing creative spaces, students level up their skills and find inspiration to launch spectacular careers.
 
At the university’s world-renowned cultural epicenters — including the SCAD Museum of Art, SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film, and SCAD FASH Lacoste — students engage directly with the world’s foremost and emerging artists, designers, and innovators.

On-ground and online, the SCAD International Student Services Office (ISSO) guides students to professional success. ISSO programs, resources, and mentoring begin before studies at SCAD and continue long after graduation. With a calendar that includes cross-cultural events, exhibitions, and educational programming, as well as a wealth of opportunities to get involved, SCAD celebrates international student life. It prepares students with the global perspective need to pursue world-spanning career paths.

SCAD uses a 10-week quarter system, and applications are accepted at any time throughout the year. There are no deadlines to apply; however, students are encouraged to apply at least six months in advance to allow time to request an I-20 and a student visa, and no later than 30 days prior to the start of their first quarter. Admission results typically take between two and four weeks to be complete.

Financial aid, including scholarships, grants, federal and private loans, and work-study, is available for students, and SCAD advisers are ready to help you make a financial plan. Scholarships are available for both U.S. and non-U.S. citizens.

SCAD champions students’ professional success from their first day of class to their first job — and beyond. Through dedicated resources, events, opportunities,  individualized advising through the office for career and alumni success (CAS),  and a network of more than 60,000 alumni — and the commitment pays off. A 2025 study found that 99% of recent SCAD graduates were employed, pursuing further education, or both within 12 months of graduation.
 
Through SCADpro, the university's innovation design studio, real-world professional collaborations start early in 10-week assignments. Here, SCAD students team up with expert faculty and companies like Google, Disney, Adobe, and more to generate future-forward solutions to today's challenges. Industry titans also deliver vital insights during class visits, guest mentorships, and the SCAD Executives in Residence program, which brings luminaries such as Bob Chavez (former executive chairman of Hermès Americas), Bob Weiss (global entertainment lead at Gensler; former president of Walt Disney Imagineering), and Kate Aronowitz (lead operations partner at Google Ventures).
