The University activities are now spread over theentire State.The technologies emergedfrom the University has helped the State of Tamil Nadu to augment and achieveits food grain production of more than 120 lakh tons regardless of vagaries ofmonsoon and changing scenarios in agriculture.

In the NIRF rankings, TNAU was ranked one among top 50Universities (under the category UNIVERSITIES) in India during 2016 (40thrank) and 2017 (17th rank). In the international QS BRICS UniversityRankings (2018), TNAU has moved to #105th rank with a full score for‘Faculty staff with PhD’ and ‘Faculty Student Ratio’, featuring in 300 top universitiesfrom the region. The University ranks # 1 amongst the 67 AgriculturalUniversities and 17th amongst the total educational institutions inthe country.
