Fox School of Business and Management
About
Tradition. Distinction. Innovation. Since 1918, the Fox School of Business at Temple University has a distinguished tradition of preparing business leaders, professionals and entrepreneurs for successful careers. It is the largest, most comprehensive business school in the greater Philadelphia region and is accredited by the Association to Advance the Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
Thoroughly committed to providing student-centered education and professional development relevant to today’s digital, global economy — the Fox School integrates technology into the curriculum and classroom, and encourages entrepreneurship and innovation throughout its programs.
Fox is a big school—but the focus is on each individual student. Students come from around the world to study at Fox’s well-regarded undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs because of the school’s excellent reputation for educating tomorrow’s business leaders.
Alter Hall, the home of the Fox School of Business, is a bridge to the future for thousands of current students and the many more who will follow. Alter Hall opened in 2009, and we expanded into a newly renovated 1810 Liacouras Walk building in 2018. From the top floor of Alter Hall, you get a stunning view of the campus and Philadelphia. The glittering skyscrapers of Center City. The majestic bridges that span the Delaware River. The vibrant, culturally rich neighborhoods that make up the city. From this vantage point, you can see how each connects seamlessly to the other. It’s this same seamless connectivity that is found throughout Alter Hall, which is so much more than a building containing classrooms and offices.
When plans were first drafted for this state-of-the-art facility, the consensus was that it should be more than simply a space for classrooms and offices. It should be a place where students, faculty, and alumni could connect and collaborate. Every design element, every piece of technology, every decision regarding this building—all were made with these two themes in mind. It’s why Alter Hall offers high-tech resources and amenities such as an entrepreneurship lab, alumni and student lounges, mentor meeting rooms, nine research institutes, labtop and wardrobe lockers, breakout rooms, computer labs, lecture halls, auditoriums, and the Capital Markets Trading Room.
