UNIBE has over a dozen undergraduate programs characterized by their multidsciplinary core courses, offer of minor programs, and vibrant student life that includes cultural activities, sports, and extracurricular societies and clubs. There are dual degree programs with institutions in Europe and the United States. Programs are in Spanish, English, and bilingual Spanish/English programs. Undergraduate degrees are offered in health sciences, cognitive and behavioral sciences, law, art and architecture, business, and engineering.

UNIBE hosts a strong student support system, including its student life programs, inclusive campus program and support services for students with disabilities.

Students in health sciences, behavioral sciences, and engineering may obtain advanced training in research through the research track. The research track provides students with the opportunity to obtain mentorship and practical experience conducting research. Students may perform field research as well as laboratory based research in any of UNIBE´s research facilities which include the Institute for Tropical Medicine and Global Health, the Center for Biomaterials and Dentistry, the Neurocognition and Psychophysiology Laboratory, among others.

Students also have the opportunity to study abroad. Students many choose from over 70 institutions across 20 countries with which UNIBE has study abroad agreements. Foreign universities may send students as well, for a semester or for our short courses. Short courses provide students with an unique opportunity to customize their academic experience in specialty areas such as sports management, tropical medicine, comparative legal systems, service learning, hospitality and tourism, Spanish language immersion among others. 

UNIBE students also engage in community engaged learning projects and programs that aim to engage students with communities to work on sustainable solutions. Students have access to a strong undergraduate internship program that allows students to obtain practical on the job experience while still in school and to build professional networks in order to prepare them for employment. 

UNIBE has 5,000 students with 25% of its student body consisting of international students who come from 46 countries.
