UConn School of Business
About
Educating leaders for nearly 125 years, the University of Connecticut (UConn) is the state’s flagship public research institution. UConn’s School of Business has been fully and continuously accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, since 1958. Representing the highest standards in management education, AACSB accreditation is shared by less than 15% of institutions worldwide. UConn also ranks among the world's best business schools according to Business Week, U.S. News & World Report and The Princeton Review. UConn’s vigorous, interdisciplinary MBA curriculum focuses on the body of knowledge, entrepreneurial style, collaborative atmosphere, and leadership skills required for success in an ever-changing business world. Innovation, vitality, and drive are some of the qualities that our students, faculty, and staff share - in an environment that is dynamic, team-oriented, and intellectually challenging.
Our MBA Program is delivered in the following formats:
•Full-Time MBA. Residing in Storrs, this two-year program employs experiential learning and team problem solving as staples of the learning process. Distinctive learning accelerators such as the Student Managed Investment Fund, MBA integration project, edgelab, SS&C Technologies Financial Accelerator, and the Innovation Accelerator create multidimensional environments in which students acquire the real-world, hands-on experience that today’s hiring companies demand. This highly desired experience is what ultimately differentiates UConn graduates at the recruiting table and secures their employment in the region’s best in breed companies. Primary and secondary market-driven concentrations include: finance, health care management & insurance studies, marketing intelligence, operations & information management, real estate, and venture consulting.
•Part-Time MBA. Academic rigor, convenience and flexibility are among the key characteristics that set UConn’s part-time 57-credit MBA program apart from the competition. Classes are offered all year long and in three locations - Hartford, Stamford and Waterbury. Concentrations include: accounting, finance, health care management, international business management, marketing, management of technology and real estate. Admissions are on a rolling basis.
•Executive MBA (EMBA). This program format is for managers and professionals with five or more years of experience and takes just twenty months to complete. Offered in Hartford and Stamford, EMBA classes meet on alternate weekends throughout the 48-credit program. EMBA program participants are typically sponsored by their employers. UConn’s MBA Program, regardless of the format, is a dynamic and exciting educational experience that will return solid dividends to your professional career.
