There are a number of undergraduate offerings at the University of Louisville. The SPHIS offers a BS/BA degree in Public Health; there is also the BS in Public Health (pre-health track) that prepares students for advanced degrees in clinical health professions (i.e. Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Physical Assistant, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy).

To gain admission onto an undergraduate course at UofL, students need to have undertaken the SAT or ACT, and international students need a TOEFL/IELTS score.

The average annual non-resident tuition is US$27,758. Unfortunately, there is no special funding available at this level at the moment. International students need to take a slightly different application process – more info can be found here.

  • Students applying for undergraduate programs will need to submit official transcripts of records from all secondary schools, universities, colleges or professional schools attended. Applicants who have attended institutions outside the United States may be required to submit their academic records to the World Educational Services or Educational Credential Evaluators for general evaluation. All academic credentials should be mailed directly to the Office of Admissions: Office of Admissions, Dept. AO, University of Louisville, Louisville KY 40292 USA

English Proficiency

  • All applicants for whom English is a second language need to show evidence of sufficient proficiency in the English language. Applicants may demonstrate English proficiency by submitting TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores:
    213 or higher on the computer-based test
    79 or higher on the internet-based test
    550 or higher on the paper-based test
    IELTS (International English Language Testing System) scores of at least 6.5 overall band score from the academic module exam.


Financial Statement

International applicants will be asked to demonstrate adequate financial resources to support their educational and living expenses for the duration of their studies in the U.S.A.
