Al Ghurair University, is committed to excellence in higher education, and is engaged in an ongoing quest for continuous self-improvement. Hence, a comprehensive institutional effectiveness system is necessary. This system shall be made central to all of the University’s academic programs and support operations. The main purpose of the Institutional effectiveness system is to document quality and effectiveness by employing a comprehensive system of planning and evaluation for all units of the university including: Educational programs Support services units Administrative units Facilities, Equipment and Fiscal resources The institutional effectiveness system is an ongoing process integrating assessment/planning/ budgeting cycle. It involves a systematic gathering, analyzing and interpreting data related to the performance of all units and operations. Mission: The mission of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning is to conduct institutional research, plan and monitor university-wide outcomes-based assessment activities that promote a culture of quality and effectiveness as well as to provide valuable support in preparing and/or revising institutional strategic plan and operational plans in close coordination with all academic, administrative and support units of the university.
