Situated in the heart of Birmingham, Aston’s campus is aglobal village within one of the friendliest, most diverse and multiculturalcommunities in the UK.

In 2017 the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF),considered to be a game changer for UK universities due to its unprecedentedemphasis on teaching quality and student satisfaction, gave Aston University aGold award – the highest possible accolade. The TEF found that students fromall backgrounds achieve ‘consistently outstanding outcomes’ at Aston, with veryhigh proportions of students going into highly skilled employment or furtherstudy.

Aston was also one of a small group of UKuniversities to be awarded a five star rating by QS (2018), the world’s largestinternational higher education network. These stars were awarded in the areasof teaching, employability, innovation, facilities, inclusiveness andinternationalisation.
