Christian Peter Wilhelm Beuth (1781-1853) is regarded as the founder of education in engineering in Berlin, and is one of the most eminent figures of the 19th century. Beuth became famous for his initiatives in education policy and for promoting innovations in the fields of sciences and engineering.
