The “Technische Schule” (“Technical School”), later renamed as the Ingenieurakademie Beuth (“the Beuth Engineering Academy”), was founded in 1909. This institution, out of which grew the Beuth University of Applied Sciences, became a permanent fixture among Berlin’s educational establishments. Beuth University was founded in 1971 as the Technische Fachhochschule Berlin (TFH) when several engineering academies were merged. In order to highlight the long tradition of the university and the institutions which preceded it, the TFH was renamed as the Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin in 2009. Study the Future. This is the motto of the Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin, and with good reason, because an extensive programme of study in forward-looking subjects provides students with the best possible prospects for their professional future.
