GERMAN-TAUGHT LEGAL STUDIES (LL.B. / FIRST GERMAN STATE EXAM)
The German-taught Legal Studies offered by Bucerius Law School are the first step for students wishing to become fully-qualified lawyers in Germany. The degree includes a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and eventually leads up to the Erste Prüfung or Erstes Staatsexamen (First German State Exam).
To be admitted into the Legal Studies program, applicants must pass a two-stage written and oral selection process in German. Therefore, candidates must have excellent (native-speaker level) German language skills by the time they submit their application. Bucerius Law School does not accept applications in other languages.
WELL-ROUNDED AND INTERNATIONALLY ORIENTED LEGAL EDUCATION
Graduates of Bucerius Law School have received a sound, internationally and practice oriented legal education. A little over 100 students complete their studies after 12 trimesters (four years) and are awarded the degrees Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and the First German State Examination.
