Foundation University Islamabad

The Foundation University Islamabad (FUI), a project of Fauji Foundation was established under a federal charter in October 2002. The University's programmes of study have been duly accredited by Higher Education Commission (HEC), National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC). The University has been rated as category 'W4' (the highest rating category) by the HEC and is also an ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certified by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service.

At FUI, special efforts are also being made to develop collaborative provisions and linkages with other HEIs at national as well as international levels and to link the University with local community and corporate sector, especially Fauji Foundation industries. FUI has signed number of MoUs with different local and global Universities and is regularly pursuing these deeds in order to establish a vibrant mutual collaboration for the benefit of students, scholars and faculty.

FUI has recently signed an MOU with University of Bedfordshire (UOB), UK. Under this collaboration a 3+1 Transnational Education progression arrangement has been finalized for the students of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science BS (CS) and Bachelor of Computer in Software Engineering BC (SE) who shall complete their first three years of education at FUI and the last year at UOB. The graduates will be eligible for a grant of UOB (UK) recognized degree duely by the accrediting bodies of UK and Pakistan.

The strength of FUI lies first in its highly qualified and experienced faculty, and secondly in its two purpose built campuses with state-of the-art academic blocks which are fully equipped with labs, libraries, lecture halls, video conferencing facility, digital library, students’ hub, medical laboratories, museums, auditorium and seminar halls etc. Furthermore, FUI has also established a Media House, an FM Channel and a Psychological Clinic in order to provide on job training to its students. The unique Campus Management System is already up and running.

There are more than five thousand students in the University. At FUI, we counsel and provide career guidance to our students along with substantial opportunities for participation in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to turn them into well rounded personalities. Additionally, the University strongly emphasizes on character development of not only the students but also the faculty. FUI also provides Financial Assistance in the shape of scholarships to deserving, underprivileged and outstanding students. University has a well established Alumni Club which provides a platform to the students to interact,  inspire and benefit from the graduated students of the University.
