IHTTI School of Hotel Management
About
IHTTI School of Hotel Management
At IHTTI School of Hotel Management, our innovative programme combines studies in hospitality management with the principles of hotel design, luxury and branding. Supported by design and personalised services, the courses are structured for students to succeed in the competitive and rapidly changing world of hospitality management.
IHTTI has a family-orientated culture with an emphasis on students’ personal and professional development. The school prides itself on the personal attention offered to each student in small class settings, thus encouraging interaction and ensure quality education and support.
Campus Life
The school shares both of its campuses with Swiss Hotel Management School students. Collaborative learning is a leading education approach at SHMS – IHTTI, where students will share certain classes and work together on major events and banquets throughout the year.
The historic Caux Palace campus overlooks the Swiss Riviera in a beautiful former palace hotel. Caux campus is the base for all first- and second-year Bachelor students, as well as Master of International Business in Hotel Management students. Set in the hills overlooking Lake Geneva, it is a short train ride from the city of Montreux with its shops, restaurants and cosmopolitan lifestyle.
All third-year Bachelor as well as Master students reside in Leysin, a well-known mountain resort. The Leysin campus is housed in two former hotels and offers students a wide range of recreational and sporting activities.
Both campuses offer modern facilities and a learning environment equipped with the latest technology.
Academic Excellence
The Bachelor’s degree programme is awarded in collaboration with the University of Derby (UK).
IHTTI is the only hospitality school to be accepted into the Chartered Society of Designers, an internationally recognised body for the design profession. With this accreditation, IHTTI students immediately become members, thus allowing them to gain recognition as quality practitioners in the design sector.
With multiple professional partnerships with leading hospitality and design companies, including Andaz and Alessi, students will benefit from a wealth of expertise as well as unique internship opportunities in some of the most highly sought-after establishments.
IHTTI is a fully accredited member of THE-ICE (International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education). THE-ICE is a not-for-profit international accreditation agency that assesses and certifies standards of excellence in hospitality education.
