Medicine University in Cluj Napoca

The oldest medical institution in Transylvania, Iuliu Hatieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy celebrates its centenary year in 2019. With over 6,000 students enrolled and 2,400 resident physicians, the university has an impressive scope and is one of the most prestigious institutions in Romania.

There are three faculties at the university: Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy. The medical faculty is divided into 12 departments as follows:

The university is also notable for organizing an annual conference for medical students and young doctors, known as Medicalis. This typically attracts over 800 participants every year and is one of the most popular events of its kind in Romania. The school also produces a notable medical magazine, with four issues printed every year.
