Khodja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University (hereinafter Akhmet Yassawi University) provides training for postgraduate education programs that include the following level of education: master’s degrees, residency, doctoral studies. Training under these programs is carried out across 7 faculties of Akhmet Yassawi University, the Graduate School of Governance and Economics (hereinafter Graduate School) and the Medical Institute of Postgraduate Education (hereinafter - IIEP) with total of 78 educational programs (hereinafter referred to as EP) that have been registered in the EP catalog of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including: masters’ programs - 55, residencies - 9, doctoral studies - 14.
Master’s and doctoral programs are run in the faculties of: Philology; Engineering; Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Artificial Sciences, Medicine and the Graduate School in Turkestan city with a duration of 2 years in the scientific and pedagogical direction and the terms of study are 1 (one) year and 1.5 (one and a half) years in the specialized direction. The total number of students in the Akhmet Yassawi University within the postgraduate education programs is 731, including 470 (222 of which are the student of distance learning program KAZTEP) of master’s program, 186 are in the residency and 76 at the doctorate level.
