The institution offers music education and a diverse international student community. Students of the Liszt Academy are educated following the institution’s classic spirit of traditions and progressivity while they can breathe in the inspiring atmosphere of the concert halls with international concert life. Teaching is conducted on a one-to-one basis and in small groups and workshops. The Liszt Academy does not strive to train students in large numbers but respects the individual needs of each talented student. All classical instruments, singing/opera, jazz and folk music, orchestral/choral conducting, music pedagogy, composition are offered as majors.

The institute has more than 40 well-equipped classrooms (performance halls, an opera rehearsal studio and practice venues) and a well-stocked library with 450 000 music scores, 70 000 books and 100 journals, 25 000 CDs, DVDs and vinyl records.
