National Taipei University of Education (NTUE), founded in 1896, is the cradle of Taiwan’s kindergarten, special education, and elementary school teachers. NTUE has long been recognized as one of Taiwan’s key educational institutions.
NTUE comprises three colleges, namely the Colleges of Education, Humanities and Arts, and Science, with 16 departments. NTUE offers 26 regular master’s programs, 21 in-service master’s programs, and four PhD programs.
Students at NTUE are involved in more than just academic work, with 87 student clubs and associations, from concerts and film screenings to readings and lectures.
The Chinese Language Education Center, a subsidiary of NTUE, was founded in 2006. The more than 7,000 students from over 40 countries and territories attending its Chinese courses have achieved rapid progress. NTUE has strong bilateral relationships with more than eighty universities and regularly participates in student exchanges and language and cultural programs.
