In addidtion to that, NTUA offers postgraduate studies in inderdisciplinary specialization areas as well as doctoral studies. The postgraduate degrees currently offered by the NTUA include:
Postgraduate studies organized in the framework of each School, which lead to the award of a"Doctoral Degree". Students follow a programme of postgraduate courses and/or research, leading to an original and significant contribution in science and technology.
Interdisciplinary Postgraduate studies, organized in the frame of several Schools of NTUA or jointly with other universities,which lead to the award of a"Postgraduate Degree of Specialisation", equivalent by law to a Master’s degree. Students acquire this degree after two academic years, during which they follow specific courses divided into semesters or four - month terms, and prepare a thesis. Students wishing to continue their research work towards a Doctoral Degree in related subjects, may be allowed to do so in one of the collaborating Schools.
