A testament to our learning approach is our par excellence employability track record. Based on the Global Employment Survey (GES) in 2017, 94% of our students were employed within six months of graduation, with more than 50% of graduates receiving job offers before graduation.
Undergraduates have the choice to pursue specialised fields of study from our broad-based curriculum; with more than 300 possible combinations of double majors from any of the 44 majors across the six schools, 70% graduate with a double degree or second major. SMU is once again pioneering innovative learning with its SMU-X courses - an experiential, collaborative and interdisciplinary learning module to co-create solutions for meaningful, real-world projects through corporate partnerships.
The SMU education also features an unparalleled co-curriculum that nurtures our undergraduates holistically; on average, our students complete 145 community service hours each, well over the mandatory 80 hours towards improving the lives of others.
As an SMU student, you will have the chance to experience at least one form of global exposure through overseas exchange, study missions, internships, community service projects, academic and co-curricular activities and competitions, or business cultural study trips.
International Students coming to SMU can also expect a vibrant student life in our city campus and acclimatisation programmes to integrate with the student community. For any financial assistance, students can consider our range of scholarships, bursaries, study abroad loans, grants, subsidies and book allowances available.
These opportunities allow students to hone their hard knowledge skills, soft people skills and ‘heart’ skills. In fact, 99% of our graduates affirmed that the SMU educational experience has been impactful. Join us and Discover The SMU Difference.
