Strate Ecole de Design

Making the world Simple, Fair, Beautiful : this is the motto of Strate School of Design, born in the previous millennium as an Industrial Design school, and projecting itself in the next one, by training Post Industrial Designers.

It’s not about the beauty of objects anymore; it’s about the beauty of life.
How to contribute to people‘s life from birth to death, whatever the context, private or public, intimate or professional?
How to deal with complexity, with technologies, with human motivation and interaction in a more and more open but yet limited world?
How do we live together?

The answer is clear: by doing design, and by training all stakeholders of the value chain to design.

At Strate, we train students in Product, Space, Identity, Mobility, Interaction and Immersive Design.
This is done through an integrated European Master degree in 5 years (300 ECTS), delivered by the French State (Visa) where a strong intellectual ambition is articulated with a very professional approach.
Studies in English are possible in our 2 year long MDes Programs in Transportation design and in Smart Cities.

Interdisciplinarity is a strong structuring axis in our pedagogy : 

• Strate is offering double degrees with SciencesPo Paris and Grenoble Ecole de Management
• we prepare our students to work with engineers and managers from prestigious schools such as , ESSEC, Centrale Supelec, Telecom ParisTech, ENS Paris-Saclay, Ecole Polytechnique,or Université Paris Dauphine by mixing them into 1 semester long industry sponsored projects.

A Strate, connexion with the Industry is key:

• all faculties are working professionals,
• students have to go through 12 to 18 months of internship
• 30+ industry sponsored projects are developed every year

All of our students have to go for a international semester abroad :

In addition to its main Design program, Strate is proposing:

• a 1 year long Postgrad program in Innovation and Design
• a 3 year long bachelor in digital 3D Modeling
• an MBA (part-time, 14 month)
