Founded in 1981, Universidad de Talca has always considered the challenges of a higher education project rooted on solid foundations, having the highest academic, scientific and technological standards with an international vision, allowing it to be recognized as one of the top ten universities in Chile.Five campuses (Talca, Curicó, Santiago, Linares, Colchagua) in 3 regions of Chile, offer students the use of modern libraries equipped with a vast variety of books, full Wi-Fi access and specialized services which allow students to achieve their academic goals in both scientific and cultural aspects. This being of the utmost importance for students who are inserted in a globalized world which is in permanent change and increasingly demands educational services of excellence.Our services are structured in order to provide answers to three main concerns, all of which are vital to the formation of professionals who will take an active part in the new knowledge society:- Information resources: The University of Talca is constantly updating the quantity, quality and availability of its information resources to respond to the needs of students, their study programs and to be appropriate to the new curricular developments and updated technology.- Self- Learning: We support the development of students’ skills in their access and use of our information resources in order to develop better University levels of learning; thus, forming students who are autonomous in their search of knowledge.- Cultural outlets: At Universidad de Talca, you will find regular updating of all our subject matters that include Philosophy, Literature, Theatre, Politics, etc… You will also find cultural expressions which are fully supported by the university in order to provide students with comprehensive formation.
