Universidad Nacional Costa Rica is a public university in the Republic of Costa Rica, in Central America. The main campus is located in the city of Heredia. It is one of five public universities in the country and the second most prestigious. More than 12,000 students study at its main campus. In addition to undergraduate programs, it offers 16 Master of Arts degrees and is strong in ecology, sociology and education related coursework.
