Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT) is a private non-profit institution founded in 1991 by the Di Tella Foundation and the Instituto Torcuato Di Tella, with support from the international philanthropic community.The mission of the University is to educate new generations of academic, social, political and business leaders, and to enhance research and scholarship in the arts and sciences. UTDT offers weekly workshops in economics, political science, business economics, international affairs, contemporary architecture, writing and literary criticism, and in legal philosophy. The academic calendar consists of two 15-week semesters: fall (March-July) and spring (August- December).Enrolment in 2001 is 1100 undergraduate and 500 graduate students. UTDT seeks to recruit the very best high school and college graduates in Argentina, admitting on average 60% of those who apply.
