Accommodation

Students live mostly off campus. In fact, in the bordering neighborhoods with the Vera campus there are several student flats and apartments. Some of these neighborhoods already have their university imprint since they host a large part of the university community that resides in València.

UPV helps its students (free of charge) to obtain accommodation that meets their expectations and needs. To do this, it has a database that serves as a meeting point between students and individuals that offer rooms in shared apartments, accommodation in a family house or flats for rent.

Students can live on campus in the Galileo Galilei student residence in either single or shared double rooms. On the Alcoy campus, students have the Ovidi Montllor student residence available.

There are a number of extracurricular activities available – but the most popular are sporting activities in UPV sport teams (more than 11,000 students take part) and participating in the Spontaneous Generation.

The Spontaneous Generation is unique to the Spanish university system aimed at acquiring useful skills through art, design, engineering, architecture and business administration. UPV students have stood out in international competitions like Hyperloop, Solar Decathlon or Formula Student.

Similarly, students can utilize the Student Recreation Center or the Department of Cultural Activities for conferences, workshops, artistic or technical exhibitions, awareness campaigns, solidarity and cooperation activities, concerts and drama performances.
Many undergraduate students at UPV think about earning optional credits through these activities too.

Both undergraduate and master’s degree students must complete a pre-enrolment process during the application process to the university. To request it, it is necessary to comply with the access requirements. This process is normally carried out between June and July. For master's studies there is also a deadline in September.

Tuition is the same for domestic and international students (US$3,000).

International students should contact the UNED for documentation to access undergraduate studies.

You need to be a domestic resident to get a grant from the Ministry, the Valencian Government or the university.

Other grants or scholarships can be found on the web site of the International Relations Office or the International Exchange Programs Office.
