University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management has master’s programs in finance and business analytics – providing students with the fundamentals to launch a career in the business and finance sectors. As such, the school has been ranked in the 2018 edition of the QS Business Master’s Ranking.
The business analytics program has a 100 percent rate of its students being employed within 90 days of graduation. It has different lengths of course study, a one-year full-time study, or part-time, two-year program. There is also the option for a dual degree in business administration and business analytics. Both the business analytics and finance programs are STEM-designated programs by Homeland Security. The finance program gives students the opportunity to use software and databases such as Bloomberg, Factset, Compustat, and Matlab. The finance program is one year in length.
Graduates from the school have gone on to work for companies such as Google, Airbnb and American Express. Career coaches are available throughout the program of study for professional development, and to help secure job roles after graduating from the school.
