University of Neuchâtel

The University of Neuchatel offers Bachelor and Master degrees in line with the Bologna agreement, as well as Doctoral programmes. The language of instruction at the University of Neuchatel is French, with the exception of modern languages (in English, German or Spanish) and of some Master courses/programmes (in English). Bachelor degree: The first cycle of basic higher education, the Bachelor degree (university baccalaureat), corresponds to 180 ECTS credits (obtained, in theory, over 6 semesters). This degree is the first step of basic scientific training, enabling the student to develop a scientific methodology. The Bachelor diploma is a prerequisite for Master degree level study, and is required in order to change the place or field of study. Those who have acquired a Bachelor degree may also, in certain cases, decide to enter the world of work.
