Founded in 1946 in the Turkish capital Ankara, Ankara University was the first higher education institution to be found in the Turkish Republic. A public institution, Ankara University now has a large enrollment (almost 70,000 students) in its 17 faculties. It’s currently ranked within the top 450 universities in the world for medicine and is placed 701+ in the QS World University Rankings. As well as offering affordable accommodation for both Turkish and international students, Ankara University hosts over 180 student clubs and has a wide range of sports facilities. The university also offers 16 undergraduate and 18 graduate programs taught in English.
