City’s outstanding subject-specific facilities are the result of close relationships with industry. They have been designed, often in collaboration with professionals working in relevant sectors, to ensure students develop relevant professional skills and prepare for their future careers.  

City has invested £150 million in structural developments on campus since 2012. This includes the development of a state-of-the-art sport centre, a new student bar and numerous learning spaces.  

City’s main campus houses the University library, which occupies five floors in the Northampton Square building. In addition, there are specialist libraries for Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) and The City Law School. 

CitySport is central London's largest student sports facility. Fitted with the latest and most sophisticated fitness equipment across 3,000m2 of floor space, CitySport provides leading-edge sport and well-being facilities for students. 

Additionally, as part of the University of London, City students have access to a large student community, numerous student societies, additional sports facilities, accommodation provision and libraries. 

City’s student life is vibrant and dynamic. City is located in the heart of one of the greatest cities in the world. Degrees and facilities have been developed with employers and leading figures in industry to embed employability within the curriculum. City was recently ranked 6^th in London for graduate prospects (Complete University Guide 2024). Most degrees at City are accredited by professional bodies and nearly all undergraduate courses offer placements.

• Strong links with major employers, who give regular presentations, mentor students, attend career fairs and run skills sessions. The Careers Service hosts events for students to explore industries and network.
