Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH)

Since its establishment in 1995, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) has gained the recognition as a leading private, comprehensive universities in Vietnam. Over 25 years of development, HUTECH has experienced exceptional growth and achieved several important milestones and  accomplishments in the area of academic advancement and research excellence. In parallel, the university has also invested in infrastructure development and campus expansion to ensure a high-quality teaching and learning environment that can meet the needs of its growing student population. Started out as small urban campus located in  Ho Chi Minh City’s Binh Thanh District, HUTECH has grown to include two additional facilities, as well as a satellite campus that houses the Highly-skilled Workforce Training Center and the Hi-tech Research Institute situated within Saigon Hi-tech Park in District 9. These campuses offer classrooms and laboratories equipping with state-of-the-art technologies and infrastructures, as well as supporting facilities including libraries, self-study areas, canteens, gyms, indoor and outdoor sport facilities, etc.

At the present, HUTECH has 12 Faculties, 7 Institutes, 13 fictional departments, offices and centers with about 1785 full-time staff members including 1559 lecturers/researchers and 226 non-academic staff. Being a multi-disciplinary university, HUTECH offers a wide range of academic programs at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including 45 bachelor’s, 11 master’s and 2 PhD’s programs. Besides domestic programs, through collaboration with foreign universities in the U.S., France, Japan, South Korea, and Malaysia, several international-standard and joint-degree programs are also available to students in multiple disciplines. The recognition of HUTECH nationally for its high-quality education and well-rounded student life and support is a testimony to the institution’s effort in becoming recognized as an excellent higher education institution in the nation and on par with others in the region.
