I-Shou University (ISU) was founded in 1990. In accordance with its mission in cultivating talents for the country with holistic education, ISU aims at achieving pragmatic innovation and sustainable excellence. ISU currently has nine colleges: College of Electrical & Information Engineering, College of Science & Engineering, College of Management, International College, College of Language Arts, College of Communication & Design, College of Medicine, College of Tourism & Hospitality, and College of Indigenous Studies; the School of Medicine for International Students, the only one of its kind in Taiwan, was established in Academic Year 2013. ISU facilities include classrooms, libraries, laboratories, a gym, and various recreational facilities. Plenty of spaces are also designed for the purposes of teaching, learning and research. The Medical Campus in Yanchao District, Kaohsiung City, was officially inaugurated in 2006, and medicine-related departments already moved into the Medical Campus, which is in close proximity to E-Da Hospital and E-Da Cancer Hospital. With efforts devoted by its faculty, staffers, and students, ISU has accomplished significant achievements in various aspects of university development. Equipped with comprehensive facilities, ISU continuously receives positive feedback from the society on its fruitful results of teaching and research, and aims at becoming an international comprehensive university that champions Intellectual innovation, Social engagement, and Universal sustainability.
