Master’s degree is the second stage of Higher Education at MPGU. Institutions and Faculties of MPGU offer more than 200 Master’s degree programmes. The University provides Master’s degree programmes in Physics, History, Journalism, Biology and, Defectology, Primary Education, Psychology, Philology, Computer Sciences, Foreign Languages, Geography, Preschool Pedagogy and Psychology. The major degree program is “Pedagogical Education”. Students can choose full-time or part-time degree programmes. Duration of training is 2 or 2,5 years (entry date is 1st September; expected degree date is 30th June). On completing the education the Master’s Degree Diploma is issued and the student is awarded the Master’s degree. MPGU also offers an applied master’s degree programmes. Admission to a Master’s programme requires a Bachelor’s degree.

MPGU also applies PhD programmes, the next stage of Higher Education. University offers professional educational programmes in more than 20 fields of studies (Mathematics and Mechanics, Psychology, Education and Pedagogical Sciences, Art etc.). On completing the education the Postgraduate diploma is issued with awarding the qualification “Researcher. Lecturer-researcher”. Some of the graduates defend PhD thesis.
