An-Najah National University is the largest university in Palestine and one of the largest non-governmental public ones in the MENA Region. An-Najah which is governed by a board of Trustees is located in the city of Nablus in the northern part of the West Bank. The university has around 20,000 students and 300 professors in 10 faculties in addition to Hisham Hijjawi college of Technology, faculty of honors and An-Najah National community college.
An-Najah has received numerous awards in the sciences and humanities since its establishment. These awards reflect the concerted effort and ambitions of the university administration as well as the commitment of university faculty and staff to excellence in teaching and research. An-Najah has been granted the European certificate of excellence by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), making An-Najah the first Palestinian university to adopt the European program of EFQM and to join a selective group of Arab and European universities that adhere to this program. Moreover, seven engineering programs have been awarded the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), as they are the first and the only programs in Palestine to be granted this international accreditation.
