Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele is a vibrant and acclaimed University based in Milan, the most populous and International city in Italy.

The mission of Vita-Salute San Raffaele University is to answer to the question Quid est homo? (What is Man?) strongly believing that the human kind is biologically, psychologically and spiritually unique, hence the creation of the three faculties.The teaching and practice of humanistic medicine is central to San Raffaele’s mission. The teaching and practice of humanistic medicine is central to San Raffaele’s mission. It is recognized as provider of exceptional primary care and attract patients, faculty and students from all over the world. It is a private non per profit organization born in 1996.

The University campus now  includes a Medical School, a School of Psychology and a School of Philosophy, an Internationally recognized Research Institute and a Science Park all on the same site allowing for unsurpassed interaction. The University is affliated with San Raffaele Hospital, a 1,400 bed hospital part of the San Donato Group, Italy's leading Hospital group, and has 26 Medical Specialization Schools within.

San Raffaele is considered the leading Scientific Care Institution as per volume and scientific research in Italy: The publications of 2015 amount to 1163 with a total impact factor of 6465.668. Scientific Research of the San Raffaele comes from the work done in a number of divisions, institutes and research centers operating in all areas of biomedical research and occupying an area of ​​over 130,000 square meters. There are numerous collaborations with leading international research centers that have helped put the San Raffaele to the global forefront of biomedical research.

Students from all over the world are welcome to San Raffaele. The University offers undergraduate, graduate and single-cycle courses in Italian within the three faculties. It also offers two English taught courses, the International MD Program a six-year MD degree course and the Msc in Cognitive Pyschology in Health Communication. Master programs and PhD courses are also offered in English.

The University has 2 Student Halls allowing International Students to have a place to stay on campus. The UniSR International Office is the referent for any aspect of the International Student's life while in San Raffaele.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Students enrolled at the San Raffaele International MD Program will benefit of all the facilities available at Vita-Salute San Raffaele Institute and San Raffaele Scientific Institute, including:
  • traditional lecture halls
  • rooms for specific training activities (small groups, patient simulators, mannequins)
  • skills labs (for practical activities)
  • 3 computer rooms with dedicated teaching softwares (85 Dual-Core Duo PC)
  • meeting rooms
  • study spaces
  • reading and consultation rooms
  • high-speed Wi-Fi connection throughout the campus
  • library with more than 20,000 printed books and access to several thousands of scientific e-publications and resources
  • access to the clinical departments at San Raffaele Hospital one of the most renowned Italian hospitals
  • access to clinical and research laboratories at San Raffaele Scientific Institute, the largest private research institute in Italy

The San Raffaele University offers not only a space to study and practice teaching at once: students also have the opportunity to live the Campus.

The San Raffaele University Campus is a community for students: functional residences, cultural proposals, sports activities, opportunities for solidarity and commitment.

Living the Campus means being part of a community where spaces and services are created to suit students: to stimulate interest, to cultivate passions, to grow through a complete training and stimulating human experiences.

Admissions to the degree programs in UniSR are generally based on entrance examinations and evaluation of titles for the graduate and post graduate programs.

Entrance examinations are regulated by specific competition calls which indicated all information concerning application opening and closing dates, enrolment documentation and deadlines, fees and so on. 

Each degree program will have its specific competition call and test dates and deadlines.

Generally speaking, the minimum requirement for enrolling to an undergraduate program is to possess a high school certificate and at least 12 years of education. According to the type of high school curriculum, additional requirements may occur.

If you graduate from our MD programs, you are a licensed physician and can continue your specialization in any country in Europe or world-wide provided you meet the licensing requirements for the country you are interested in.
