QUT accommodates an internationally and nationally awarded Science and Engineering Centre which incorporates one of the world’s largest and most advanced digital interactive learning and display spaces, The Cube. The new Education Precinct, opened in 2019, provides technology-equipped teaching spaces and features the only digital display of its type in the world, the Sphere.
An $80 million investment saw a major expansion of the Creative Industries Precinct, designed to shine a light on the creative process. The precinct houses purpose-built teaching and learning spaces with windows and viewing panels allowing anyone to watch the work as it happens.
QUT researchers are given the professional support and world-class infrastructure they need to progress their work in world-class facilities.
Our research students can also enjoy flexible study options. You can study on or off campus, add coursework units to complement your research interests, and design a research program around your individual needs.

Fitness and sporting facilities at both QUT Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses include fitness clubs, gymnasiums, and aquatic centres. Life in Brisbane
You’ll love living in Brisbane (or ‘Brissy’, as the locals say). Studying at QUT offers you a world-class education in the heart of Brisbane, a welcoming, modern and multicultural city. Brisbane is Australia’s third largest city and known for its vibrant urban precincts, outdoor lifestyle, friendly locals and natural attractions.
Brisbane averages 283 days of sunshine each year. The city enjoys a subtropical climate with warm summers averaging 30 degrees Celsius. Brisbane has very mild winters with temperatures only dropping to a low of around 10 degrees Celsius.
Queensland has beautiful national parks, hundreds of kilometres of beaches, tropical rainforests, and the Great Barrier Reef. Just an hour south of Brisbane is the famous Gold Coast with amazing beaches, amusement parks, and shopping while 1.5 hours north of Brisbane are the beautiful, quiet beaches of the Sunshine Coast.
Brisbane is within easy travel distance of Australia's other major cities and attractions and is just a short flight from great international travel destinations like New Zealand, Bali, and South-East Asia.
