National Measurement Laboratory (NML), National Nano Device Laboratories (NDL), National Chip Implementation Center (CIC), National Space Organization (NSPO), Instrument Technology Research Center (ITRC), National Center for High-performance Computing (NCHC),  National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC)


In addition, based upon the research resources, NCTU elite research centers were established, as listed below, to contribute and strengthen collaborative, international, and interdisciplinary academic research across diverse fields of subjects.

  •   Emerging Nanoelectronics and System Research Center (eNES)
  •  Intelligent Information Communications Research Center (I2CRC)
  •  Frontier Photonics Research Center (FPC)
  •  Biomedical Electronics Center for Translational Research (BETRC)
  •  Center for Interdisciplinary Science (CIS)
  •  Center for Bioinformatics Research
  •  Brain Research Center (BRC)
  •  Disaster Prevention and Water Environment Research Center (DPWE)

    For the postgraduate students who are interested at the fields of Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, as well as the Studies of Ethnicity, NCTU also provides the following research centers: 
    The Asia Pacific/Culture Center, The Center for Humanities and Social Theory, The Center for Emergent Cultural Studies, International Center for Hakka Studies

    In addition to domestic research resources, NCTU plays an important role in international collaborations. Professors and students of NCTU have been working in close cooperation with top international institutions like MIT, UCLA, UC Berkeley, Cornell, UIUC, University of Tokyo, Tohoku University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Chalmers, KU Leuven, IIT et al. With such international exposure combined with dual degree opportunities, students can gain precious experiences for their future professional careers. Up to now dozens of students have obtained duel degrees with elite foreign universities, making them competitive in the job market.
