Each year approximately 7,000 bachelor-degree students graduate from Queensland University of Technology (QUT). QUT is an ambitious and collaborative institution that equips our students and graduates with the skills they will need in an increasingly disrupted and challenged world.

As one of Australia's leading universities, we offer you a broad range of undergraduate degrees that can lead to a successful career.  We know what employers want in our graduates, because we ask them. Our courses are designed and reviewed in consultation with professionals to match changing industry needs.

Our connections also mean many of our courses include work-integrated learning and experience, or opportunities to work on real projects, so that you graduate with the skills you'll need in your career. QUT will support you with career and employability support to put you in charge of your own future.

With our world-class courses and learning facilities, and programs for overseas exchange and engagement, you will be prepared to work in Australia and internationally.

QUT’s undergraduate study options include:

Facilities

QUT has two vibrant inner-city campuses with everything you could need. The Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses are home to high-tech libraries and study spaces, fitness facilities, arts and performance venues, shops and cafes. QUT is also home to Australia’s first purpose-built university eSports arena.

To make your study life easy, we’ve centralised our student support services and have medical services, like doctors, pharmacies and clinics, on-campus. At the QUT Health Clinics, you can access quality, low-cost healthcare services provided by students while they learn under the supervision of accredited clinicians.

Both campuses are also easily accessible by public transport. Our Gardens Point campus is in the city centre and has a ferry stop while our Kelvin Grove campus has its own bus station. QUT also has a free campus shuttle that runs between campuses every ten minutes.

We know that it can be easier to learn by doing which is why QUT has real-world learning spaces. Conduct molecular genetics research in our laboratories, build your confidence in mock courtroom trials in a QUT Law Moot court, or hone your practical skills in our simulation centres for nursing and paramedic students.

Student life

At QUT, we offer you an enriching student experience both inside and outside of the classroom. While you're studying, you'll have opportunities for volunteering, getting involved in campus culture, and developing your personal and professional skills with activities and projects.

Join in on regular social events like weekly coffee catch ups and cooking classes, and look out for annual flagship events like the QUT Classic fun run, Dragon Boat Regatta, and cultural festivals held on campus throughout the year.

The QUT Guild runs events including campus parties, live music, market days, and more. They also run two bars on campus where you can catch up with friends and relax.

Fitness and sporting facilities at both QUT Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses include fitness clubs, gymnasiums, and aquatic centres. We also organise social sports including basketball, netball, volleyball, dodgeball, touch football and soccer and have tennis courts and sports fields at our Kelvin Grove campus.

Life in Brisbane

You’ll love living in Brisbane (or ‘Brissy’, as the locals say). Studying at QUT offers you a world-class education in the heart of Brisbane, a welcoming, modern and multicultural city. Brisbane is Australia’s third largest city and known for its vibrant urban precincts, outdoor lifestyle, friendly locals and natural attractions.

Brisbane averages 283 days of sunshine each year. The city enjoys a subtropical climate with warm summers averaging 30 degrees Celsius. Brisbane has very mild winters with temperatures only dropping to a low of around 10 degrees Celsius.

Queensland has beautiful national parks, hundreds of kilometres of beaches, tropical rainforests, and the Great Barrier Reef. Just an hour south of Brisbane is the famous Gold Coast with amazing beaches, amusement parks, and shopping while 1.5 hours north of Brisbane are the beautiful, quiet beaches of the Sunshine Coast.

Brisbane is within easy travel distance of Australia's other major cities and attractions and is just a short flight from great international travel destinations like New Zealand, Bali, and South-East Asia.
