A “laurea magistrale” is a second level degree that’s equivalent to a master’s, and is two years long. To study a "laurea magistrale", you must have an undergraduate degree or equivalent foreign qualification.

Università Iuav di Venezia currently offers master degree courses in the fields of architecture, design, fashion, visual arts, urban and regional planning, theatre.

All degree programs are taught in Italian, with the exception of the master degree in architecture which is taught in English.

Admissions and how to apply

The admission process is the same for Italian and EU citizens. The same conditions apply to any applicant who is currently residing in Italy (including refugees, and beneficiaries of international protection).
If you’re a non-EU citizen and are interested in applying to study at Universita' Iuav di Venezia, you will need to do so exclusively through the Italian Embassy (or Consulate) in your home country.

Fees are assessed on income, merit and each student’s personal situation.

Additional funding, including scholarships are available for international students. To apply and be considered for one, you will need to apply for the Study@Iuav” program that offers scholarships and tuition fee waivers.
